EMDR can be helpful if you have experienced trauma. You are welcome to email me a question or set up an initial free appointment to discuss details. EMDR would not be a good fit for you if you have a history of seizures, miscarriages, or if you are currently pregnant. For more information, check out my page on EMDR

While some people prefer to use insurance because of a low co-pay, there can be many issues when considering to use insurance. Here are some problem people run into when using insurance:
Receiving a diagnosis that stays on your medical record
Insurance stating therapy is not “medically necessary” for you, so your insurance company refuses to cover your therapy expenses. This can happen in the middle of treatment
Insurance making the decision of what length of time you need for sessions. For example, typical therapy sessions are 45-60 mins. Some people may want a 90 minute session or be seen twice a week. Some insurance companies will not pay for those type of requests.
If you do not want to use your insurance, I am happy to accommodate your needs. Please give me a call or send me an email with any of your questions.
